SIM-only deal: Get six months half price from Three
Three has slashed the price of its SIM-only contracts by 50% for the first six months
Three routinely drop discounts to leave its rivals in the dust, but this one is a real doozy: a simply stunning 50% off the price of an SIM-only 5G data for the first six months of a 24-month plan.
That means you’ll be paying just £12/mth for all the data you could possibly desire and make an overall saving of £72 before the price rises to £24/mth for the rest of the plan. By comparison, O2 offers the same package for £30/mth, while for Vodafone it’s £32/mth and EE it’s £28/mth. Plus, Three’s 5G is the best in the business for UK customers.

In our latest review of the Three network, we found it to offer solid all-round reliability, including elite and ever-improving 5G performance. It’s not just us either, Opensignal awarded Three the 5G Download Speeds gong in September for its rapid 228.4Mbits/sec delivery. That’s well ahead of the 130.5Mbits/sec speeds achieved by second-placed EE and a 24Mbit improvement on Three’s speeds in April this year. It was also the outright winner for 5G reach with a score of 3.3, meaning Three users found a 5G connection in over a third of locations in the UK, and with the strongest connection availability of 3G and above across British shores.
The awards don’t stop there either: Three was also Opensignal’s joint winner for 5G availability and 5G Video Experience (essentially, it’s users had the joint best experience when streaming over a 5G connection), which really emphasises that this is one of the best 5G-ready SIMs you can get at present. The only slight negative we found was Three’s fairly average customer support scores and around 2/10 feeling a little disappointed with their service in our Mobile Network Awards survey.

But should you prefer limiting your gigabytes to something more manageable – and crucially, for a little less money per month – then Three also has 250GB available for £10/mth for the first six months (£20/mth thereafter), as well as 100GB of data for £8/mth (£16/mth after six months) and 30GB for £7/mth (£14/mth after that). Again all of these SIM-only contracts have unlimited texts and minutes and you’ll want to act fast to avoid disappointment.
